Kimberly, Knight is doing really well, since we saw you back in October he has
gain 9 pounds. Now weighing in at a grand total of 89 pounds at 3 years old. He doesn't have any excess weight and people
seem to think he is real skinny, they also don't understand a working dog weight. As you know he is a part time dog with
the local school as well as a full time personal protection dog and he is superb at what he does. Our vet is pleased to see
such a good dog health, temperament and trainability. We hear it every visit we go to, he is the perfect German shepherd
dog. He is extremely trustworthy and reliable with the local people and kids, other dogs and even small animals. I know this
all has to do with the foundation work you've laid. Its great to own such a well rounded and mannered dog. I can't
thank you enough for breeding, raising and training such a fabulous dog. Oh by the way we have started 'refresher'
training for Knights Personal Protection work and my trainer Mark was shocked. He told me usually in the purchase of
a Personal Protection Dog, that people tend to get screwed because they don't know what they are really looking for.
Mike our trainer was impressed with the training he's had and that he would indeed bite a hidden sleeve. Marks nick name
for Knight is Alli-gator. Deidra

Kimberly, Its been about 8 months since we picked up Guner from the
airport, and its been nothing but marvelous. Absolute delight to have around, even with the kids and ferret our 3 pet
cats. We have not had any problems with crate training, obedience or housebreaking. He has done perfect with everything so
far. We will see how he does with Protection work in a few weeks, two trainers have done an evaluation and ensured us he is
capable of doing so. Its so wonderful to come home to such a perfect dog. He is very lively and spunky. We are always
getting compliments on our well behaved dog whenever we go out someplace. If I could describe him with only a few words
it would have to be PERFECT FOR US! He is always close by keeping and eye on the kids, or us. He weighs in around 79.4
lbs at 11 months and for some odd reason he still thinks he's the same size that he was when we brought him home
at 3 months old weighing in at 28 lbs, our cute lion with the fuzz. He is really started to flourish into his adult body
and my god he is STUNNING! Beautiful silk like coat, very masculine head and face. As you know his body was built big even
as a puppy, well now that he finally fits into his own fur better, very athletic and playful so he is mostly muscle. His
favorite activity is going for car rides or swimming in the pool. We couldn't be happier with our decision of getting
our German Shepherd Puppy from you. Thank
you very much, Judy
Parker (Tulsa Oklahoma)
Kimberly, Matt & the gang, Just a note to say
hi and than you for our German Shepherd Dog. Mr. Sica is now nearly 3 years old and the love of my life! He is a happy,
healthy and very good looking dog too! Just a delightful personality and temperament. The people in my neighborhood just
adore him to pieces. He patrols the kids, and other dogs too. Doesn't allow anything or anybody near the road. Just
what I wanted him for he doesn't allow anyone around my property or vehicles when we are traveling. He is the next best
thing to being invisible, because nobody approaches me when its unwanted. I am looking forward to adding one
of your future puppies to our pack here. Since I missed the upbringing of Sica I want to try to raise my next
puppy but, only with your guidance. I am looking at late summer/fall time. Your website looks great! I am looking
forward to seeing you later this year. When we fly out to you, of coarse it we = Sica and I. Don't worry, you will finally
get to see him again. Forever
Grateful, Sasha Brighton Beverly Hills, California
Dear Kimberly,
We are more then pleased
with our puppy Rebel von Hayden - she is exactly what you said she would be. Sweet and well behaved 98% of the time. Angel
with HORNS and Firecracker the other 2% of time.
Percentages do not apply to training. She is a total working nut. People at
club can not believe how attentive and cooperative she is at only 5 months old. Rebel is always happy just happier when kids
or toys, training are involved. She has adapted to us quickly and easily. She lives to go for car rides, and thank
you very much for that because our last dog got sick every time. I think when she see's the car she think of going to
training because she turns into a nut for about 5 minutes then gets in and is calm again. If she see's the training field
she starts flipping out. You've laid a fabulous foundation and makes us shine at training. She is a TERRIFIC dog and my
kids are so lucky to have to dog like her while growing up. She is very precious to us, thank you.
Kelly Hope (Roanoke, Texas)
Kimberly, Do you
remember telling me about the lightbulb thing? Well, I have experienced this with Montana's protection lightbulb
finally turned on at 8 months old at the training field we've been training. Oh boy now being 2.5 years old he tears the
fields up searching the blinds. He has made a very good re coop project for myself as well as my family. He has
done superb in SchH. But, I won't compete with him as I am not physically capable of it with my heart condition.
We have had a total blast owning Montana. Thanks for such a fabulous dog! Joseph Richie (Loving,
New Mexico)
Marsal is fitting
in nicely with our family and is a very smart pup. He is already responding to commands and is crate training beautifully.
He is great with the kids too! Thanks again! Debbie

Kimberly, I wanted to let you know that Dutchess is doing great. I couldn't
ask for a better demo dog! You did an awesome job with the foundation work on Dutchess, thank you. You've made our job
the easiest its ever been. I never realized until now what a different in just the way a puppy is brought up. I've yet
to come across a GSD to even compare to any of your dogs. I am very glad that I did my research this time into a real breeder. Her
looks are second to none, gorgeous color and pigment! She only has 3 weeks left until she will be certified as a hearing impairment
service dog. I think we have maybe had her for 2 and half months!? I am so thrilled to see her social skills and dependable
temperament kids, strangers, seniors doesn't phase her. I know she will make my classes a breeze once she is certified
we will be using her for classes, guidance for kids to learn how to handle the leash, harness, etc. We will also be using
her in community service for therapy work in the near future. I have to say from the description of her via e-mail our first
correspondence, I thought this is too good to be true. Well, you explained her to a T but you left one thing out, you didn't
tell me one could actually love a dog this much. I have had many dogs in and out of my hands, none have shown such loyalty
or devotion to me. Richard Davison
(Agoura, California)
Kim,
My husband Mark and I picked up a puppy from
you back in August. We recently took a trip to Charlotte North Carolina and attached to this e-mail are photographs of
our unforgettable vacation we took with Brooks. I thought you'd like to know what a great dog she is. She is a lot
of fun for our entire family. She is doing very well, our vets are pleased with her health and temperament, trainer
is pleased with how quickly she is moving through the training phases. We can't go anywhere without someone asking us
where we got her, and always getting comments about how pretty and well mannered she is. Michelle Gauds (Newport, Rhone Island)
Hey
guys hope all is going well with the family and @ vonhaydengermanshepherds. Here's
a picture taken with my cam phone of onyx place command sorry for the poor quality. I
was giving high compliments about onyx and his drive and virtually the fear of nothing. The guys at the club
they love him they say he's a result of good breeding. (with LOTS and LOTS of puppy still in him) LOL- He was training
today and was giving great full bites, I've been using a bungee cord and he learn quickly with that, all it took for him
to be pulled into the shrubs but it never fazed him he came back for more. :-)
I know allot has to do with me working him but it too has to do with what you breed and your love for the dogs. He is sure
a great example I hope all your clients, work
and play with their dogs as much as I do. One great thing I notice is how he goes from protection training, to obedience training
and into break/play mode without a hitch. Pete Aponte - (Valley Stream, New York)
Kimberly, Thank you so much for our Tamera, she has made our life so much more comfortable. To
be honest I wasn't sure what was going to happen through this deal. I had done so much research into personal protection
dogs, and heard both good & bad stories; with the placement of dogs. The biggest complaint was that the dogs were not
actually trained in the protection phase. I had been to so many facilities and still hadn't found what we needed for our
family. UNTIL WE MET KIMBERLY- When we went to her facility it was clean, organized and family owned and operated. My entire
family instantly felt comfortable with Kimberly and her family. Kimberly offered endless fields of help not only with
the dogs but upkeep training, educating our kids, as well as endless questions on our end. We were so surprised to see
how well-mannered and family oriented all her dogs were. Von Hayden German Shepherds is a top notch breeder who has a stellar
reputation for honesty, and quality bred GSD's. All there dogs have an awesome up-bringing, solid nerves, awesome temperaments,
great workability as well as they are all in excellent health. We can only speak from what we've seen in the last 5 years
working with this breeder. I have personally worked with/raised/and socialized with 8 litters as well as owning Tamera. Two
of our family members also have Shepherds of Kim's and are as pleased as we are! Jessica Palasin - New York
Hey Kimberly, The boys are doing great!!! I sent a picture of each of them with more to follow. Lightning
is infatuated with Mike; he minds me and I know he loves me but he adores Mike. I think last time I talked to you we
were having a little trouble reining his prey drive in. He is a fetching fool now, especially in the water. He loves
to swim. This past winter we started him on tracking. He is very hard to stump. He actually digs deep in
the snow to find clothes of ours we have buried. I thought we were going to train him for police work but it turns out
we have an avalanche search dog on our hands.
Mazerati is my sensitive little man. He is learning in leaps and bounds with clicker training. We found
his nitch, he lives for the clicker. He is also doing well in tracking and he loves kids. I have taken him with
me to clients houses and he will play for hours with their kids. He's so laid back.
My boys are so different Mazerati calm laid back and Lightning is charged, always
ready for action.Well now that I've talked
your ear off I best be going.
I'll
chat with you soon!!
Brandy (Kallispell, Montana)
Scout
has turned into a great dog..what a pleasant personality! She still has an incredible prey drive but she seems to satisfy
that with herding the squirrels! Best, Susan
White (Rhinebeck, New York)
Lakota is a wonderful companion and a wonderful addition to our family. I believe
most of his siblings are working dogs whereas he is a pet for us. His manner and disposition are remarkable. He is a long
haired black sable. I couldn't tell you how many compliments we get when we are out walking or at the vet's office.
We have done obedience training and hope to do Therapy training in the near future. He is very smart, obedient yet very protective.
I would agree with other owner comments about how he can go from protective to obedient to playful and raring to go in no
time. He has quite the personality, he really lives to play ball and also loves the water. We have Zorra (black/tan female
GSD) who loves to walk ( and needs the work to tire her out) and play, Lakota would rather skip the walk and go right to play.
He also likes to "herd" Zorra away from me when she gets close he wants ALL the attention! We are very happy with
Lakota. We would definitely get another Shepherd from Kimberly & Matt. (HOWEVER two is the limit right now!) Pat & Betsy Cleland (Caroga Lake, NY)
Lexus
is a god sent to our family. She is doing wonderfully with Amanda, she has adjusted with no problems to the wheelchair. Lexus
learned the retrieve for items that fallen from her hands within 3 weeks of getting her. Amanda has come around
quiet a bit since then she is gaining confidence every day and I know it is solely because of Lexus. She is such
a sweetheart an so loveable. When she isn't with Amanda she is out running besides Trevor's quad and she totally has
a blast! No matter where we go or who comes to the house we get compliments about how well mannered and the beauty of her.
I am sure you heard from Annie one of our nurses? She said she was going to contact you to get a pup in the spring/summer
of 2007. I can't
thank you enough, Judy Callahan (Greenwich Connecticut)
When I
was looking for a German Shepherd Puppy when I ran across an ad for von Hayden German Shepherds. I called and right away Kim
made me feel like an old friend. We made an appointment to meet with the crew of dogs and were so pleased when we did! All
the dogs were wonderful with my daughter Kayla(3). About an hour into our appointment I wondered where Kayla went. She
had ventured about 100 yards away with Tina and Tonya, they were out in the yard playing so nicely. Over the next few months
we had corresponded almost every day. Until our Homer was born, Kim send updated pictures every few days and around
3.5 weeks we were invited to meet with the litter they were so darn cute. The first week of Homer being home he
had gotten into and eaten and entire bottle of Nu-Vet around 12 am and I was so nervous I called her and she answered
and to my relief she assured me he would be fine. Well he was fine, didn't even phase him. Homer is such a good dog
- he is in a local group that does demonstrations to teach kids proper care of dogs. He is famous in our town!
Thank god, Kimberly knows her stuff, its been more then
20 times that I've called her for her opinion and she is always accurate. Its always been my experience with breeders
are for the money, not von Hayden German Shepherds. She has donated a dog to my sisters household (Lexus) as a service dog.
My sister and brother-in-law lost their house, one child, and all their belongings back in 2005 due to a serious house fire.
Kimberly had no problem understanding their need for a service dog and allowed her pick pup Lexus to come to their family
which brought extreme amounts of power to their family. We can't thank you enough. You are a truly blessed women,
Kimberly.
God Bless, Jocelyn Gracia (Springfield Mass)
Dear Kim, Adar is a fine male dog, children guaranteed happy when they accidently come near him. He
loves to turn upside down and make a fool of himself one minute and the next while under command will protect on command with
no tomfoolery. Abril is a sweetheart. She loves to be loved. Her litter of pups turned absolutely splendid and maintained
the black saddle extending down the fore legs and front legs with a sound black muzzle. The pups sold themselves with their
quiet but not shy temperament. Thanks so much for your truthfulness and honesty about both of them. They are beautiful. Katherine M. Plante (Watertown New York
)
Hey
Kimberly, How nice to hear from you and how nice that you were thinking of ..."Max."
I'm sure you still think of him as Mazda. We took him to the vet last month and the vet was so impressed with him.
He's a good looking dog. He's well within the normal weight range. He takes his shots like a man!
They always tell me that German Shepherds are the biggest babies of all dogs.
Max is ..........
perfect! He is SUCH a good doggie and we are the envy of all our neighbors! He l-o-v-e-s
to play in the snow. Shoveling snow now takes three times as long as it should because he "fights" with
EVERY shovel full. He dives for every last snowball we throw. He pounces on the snowflakes as they hit the ground.
We just spend so much time laughing at him.
He has a unique relationship with all of us. He l-o-v-e-s to train
with Joe. He is trained in English, German and sign language. He will do "look" for
minutes or at least as long as the person can hold out. Riley plays with him EVERY time
they see each other. Riley also takes him on l-o-n-g walks/runs. Molly feeds him and bathes him and
brushes him and gives him his vitamins. She is quite proud to claim ownership of him. Meg is his ......
companion. She goes to half day Kindergarten and she hardly leaves him alone while she's home. The SECOND
Meg gets on the bus Max runs for my car. He is sooooooo disappointed if we aren't going anywhere.
He didn't
grow quite as big as we thought he would. That's probably a good thing. He's definately big enough!
He's not very aggresive except when strange dogs walk nearby and Meg is outside. He has a VERY scary
growl and a very loud bark!
He has the biggest smile when we rub his belly. It makes us all laugh
all the time. He watches the birds out the window with a lot of fascination. He is quick to respond
to our commands and he loves children (He's a big ol' chicken really, We keep waiting for him to
lay an egg.)
I know you probably weren't expecting all this information but .....
well, we're just so darn proud of him and you deserve to hear all about him. I'd love to know if any of his
relatives like bird-watching as much as Max.
Now, how is the little baby! He must LOVE all the doggies at your house! Take care! Lisa (Hughsonville, New York) This is the best puppy I've ever seen. She is so quick to learn and easy to teach. A blessing to
our family. Its such a joy to own her, everyone enjoys her presence. Like you said she love the beach! Jeremy DeMic -
Fort Lauderdale Florida
Kimberly,
We can't thank you enough for our pup Autumn. She is just what we
were needing in our family. So alert of her surroundings all of the time and such an outgoing girl. Our vet told us he was
anticipating a 'mediocre' dog from American bloodlines. He was so thrilled to meet Autumn and see a clean
bill of health as well as an outstanding temperament from a pup who just flew almost across the country. Respectfully Yours, Gloria Miller Las Vegas, Nevada
We
purchased a pup through Von Hayden Shepherds 3 years ago and can't believe the experience I had with them. I know
several friends that had nothing but bad to say about where they got their pups from. We are actually getting another pup
from Von Hayden Shepherds in the fall and absolutely thrilled with the experience, knowledge, and all the help we have received
through them. Our girl Cloey von Hayden is stunning and more then I ever expected of a dog. Cheers, Gene Cummings
(Fayetteville, North Carolina)
Kimberly, I can't thank you enough for all the help and knowledge you have spread,
throughout our home. (Thank you for the articles and links you sent in regards to Therapy work) You are one of a kind
and I so glad to have met you. I thought I was buying a dog and that's it but, you've been there through every
step and can't explain the comfort that gave us. After speaking with several friends and workers I have come to find
out that most breeders are nothing like you. Kanzit is doing very well. He is
2 years old and just received our CGC and training for Therapy work, we will be visiting with a senior center. We are very
excited for this opportunity. Don't have a doubt in my mind that we won't be visiting within a few weeks time. He
is just so very eager to learn and up for anything at any time. I just wanted to keep you updated on everything. BTW) I just
dropped the x-rays into the mail for you. Sincerely,
Maggie Fletcher &
Family Atlanta, Georgia
Thank you KIM for our GORGEOUS girl. She is
our fourth GSD and she is the healthiest and smartest dog we have ever had. Our first two Shepherds had allergies and other
problems. Our baby girl is absolutely perfect and is growing so quickly. I was very impressed by your knowledge and everything
you have done with your dogs. Jada gets along so well with our children and she is a perfect princess in the house. Everyone
asks us where we got her. Thank you SO MUCH! Talk
with you soon, Karla Samings (Miami, Florida)
We are so pleased that we made the trip to meet you back
in 2004 otherwise we may never have found our Elmo. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process - you made everything
run very smoothly. Including arranging for our stay in a local hotel. Both you and your husband were so easy to talk to. You
were honest and stood behind us through crate training - Agility with all the correct information all of the time. No only
are we impressed but all our training club, vets, friends, neighbors are impressed with the breeding and breeder of our precious
Elmo. Our vet was pleased to see the great detail to the vaccination record as well as the record keeping of this pup.
Our trainers were shocked by his trainability as a puppy. Kerry Walsher (Sandstone, MN)
We are very pleased with
the puppy we purchased through you. The last time she was at the vets around 9 months she was 62 pounds - but,
the vet said she isn't overweight at all. She's got a ton of muscle! We do a lot of nature walks as well as her normal
exercise. She is so fun to have around she always has us smiling. There was no problem with housebreaking which was shocking
but pleasurable. Everything we've
done with her basic and advanced obedience has been such a synch. We have went to a trainer to get some basic's for personal
protection and he was very happy to see a dog of high quality like Marzy. She had never had anything since she was with you
and she knew exactly what to do - like she been training forever. We love her to pieces and she is doing extremely well with
Personal Protection work - my hubby and her have the greatest time at the training facility. Marzy is on a hidden sleeve and
doing real well. I was so nervous with Mark insisting on the personal protection which the kids but, Marzy is so loving with
the kids and she goes from get the bad guy right back to family dog. Your Friends, Sarah Lynn Copata (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)
This
is an excellent breeder which I purchased my puppy from. I couldn't ask for more information or help on this transaction.
The puppy was shipped in excellent condition, healthy and clean. She was just what the Breeder said she was. I took her to
my vet and my vet even remarked at how nice of a puppy she was, could not ask for a healthier puppy and would highly recommend
this breeder. I have purchased other puppies and always ended up either with sick unhealthy puppy or 14 pounds. This breeder
was so informative and made the purchase so easy. Brian Ziatez - CT.
We are absolutely thrilled with our puppy from Von Hayden
Shepherds. Recently we purchased Nixe von Hayden who is the greatest dog anyone could ask for. She is everything and more
then we ever expected in a trillion years. Both Kimberly and her husband were very easy to deal with. They supply you with
such ample amount of information and support which makes the whole process that much easier. I never thought in a million
years I would find the PERFECT dog as I did with Nixe!
Destiny Roberts - Middletown New York
We
bought a red sable German shepherd female from the breeders D litter back in 2004. We take her to a huge dog park and while
seeing several other German shepherd pups there, the quality in breeding of our pup has become very obvious to us. She really
stands out among the rest in the beauty, agility, and disposition. Her features are gorgeous and we receive a lot of compliments,
people often ask us where we got her. I want to thank them for taking such good care in there breeding. Our pup is intelligent,
beautiful and super healthy. She was potty trained at 11 weeks, she also knows and obeyed 32 commands at only 4 months old.
Her mental capacity and love for learning is obvious. I would recommend this breeder to any one. Judy and Sam Dunkin- WA.
Kimberly I wanted to thank you for breeding such special dogs. They
are the greatest group I've ever owned. They are our farm dogs well security systems they patrol all 530 acres and do
it well. Rocky(11), Abis(4), Guster(2) all do well with our goats, horses and our clan of birds ranging
from chickens to Emu's! They
are so wonderful with the grandchildren and town people, it makes me feel so comfortable to know I can bring our furry kids
anywhere and not have to worry. All
the best, Angela
