von Hayden German Shepherds Code of Ethics
Instead of simply following the basic set of rules as breeder,
here at von Hayden German Shepherds we have developed an exclusive code of ethics, which shows the goals we have for
our kennel. We aim to protect and improve the breed an its future. We breed
dogs to the 'strictest standard,' to ensure the best 'total' dog. As dog owners and breeders we have an obligation
to each dog that we own, breed and sell for the health and well being of each individual dog.

All dogs in our care will be provided with the highest possible standards
of nutrition, veterinary care, socialization, housing, training, and cleanliness, and grooming. We will never leave
dogs in kennels all the time as it is not fair to the dogs and we feel that it will dampen the dog's soul.

Our dogs are real - There are no cosmetic surgeries to hide faults.
We will never administer medications to bring a dog into a certain condition or hide a certain condition.

We show discrimination in the sale of our puppies and we are concerned
with the type of homes in which they are placed. We should seek the best possible environment for each Shepherd produced
in our kennel. Our dogs and puppies will not be sold, consigned or donated to such places as pet stores, pet brokers, nor
will they ever be placed to participate in dog fighting. Our dog may not be offered to events such as raffles, auctions,
drawing, lotteries, contests, or laboratory experiments, and we will not knowingly deal with unethical persons.

We promise that all advertising will be factual and straight
forward. We will tell you our professional opinion of a certain puppy or dog, and we will tell you about the evaluation
of that dog in question. We will not mislead you, with regards your purchase.

All dogs bred or sold by von Hayden are permanently identified via
tattoo and/or microchip and they will be registered with proper organizations.

Absolutely no puppy will leave our facility prior to 7 weeks (pick
up) or 8 weeks (shipping).

All puppies and dogs sold or placed by von Hayden Shepherds
will be recorded through a sales contract.

Our dogs are always welcomed back to our facility at any point in
time with no questions asked. The puppy or dog can be returned to our facility at no cost to von Hayden Shepherds. Our
dogs can not be sold, placed, donated, or given away without written permission from von Hayden German Shepherds. We do this
to ensure the well being and future of puppy or dog, rather then have them end up in a shelter, rescue, or unwanted home.

We will be as helpful and understanding as we can to our clients
regarding their situations, but please remember that you, as the owners, have agreed to terms outlined in the contract
and we expect them to be closely followed.

We will not deliberately degrade
any fancier, their dogs, or their kennel.

We will be honest and ethical in our financial dealings
with buyers.

You will not find us performing activities that would damage the
best interest of the dogs.

We will maintain sportsmanlike behavior in all canine endeavors
and will work toward the betterment of the German Shepherd Breed.

We vouch that we will take every step necessary
to educate the public about the German Shepherd Breed.
